As a kid, I always knew I wanted to be an artist. My technical background is in the fine arts and I think this gives me a unique perspective on design projects. After graduating from Tyler School of Art of Temple University in 2004, I began working as a freelance designer and Beth Blinebury Design was born.

Since its humble beginnings, this little design studio has worked with a variety of individuals and small businesses from a range of industries throughout the Philadelphia region and beyond (Fun Fact: Our client locations reach “across the pond” to London where Kris Heimark helms Stoke Newington Chambers!).

In 2006, amidst a growing freelance career, I relocated to Baltimore to earn my MFA at Maryland Institute College of Art. Since returning to Philly in 2008 I have continued to grow Blinebury Design with my husband and business partner Andy McGowan.

Between 2008 and 2013, I taught classes in photography, computer programming, introductory electronic media, and design. I have taught undergraduate courses at Tyler, MICA, Villanova University, and Drexel University, among others. This experience has become invaluable in allowing me to teach and empower my clients to be comfortable and confident using the web to grow their businesses.

*Beth (NOT an Elizabeth!) fun facts:

  • I cannot whistle, curl my tongue or snap. It’s a major drag and a source of much discussion (to my detriment) amongst my friends.
  • I love accents but am particularly bad at most of them; though I do nail a cockney “Blimey!” from time to time.
  • I ran my first half marathon this past November in Philly. I survived!
  • I take a lot of photos – follow Blinebury Design on Instagram! And for your immediate viewing pleasure:
