After earning a degree in English and Journalism, I jumped around from small-town staff writer to procedural writer to marketing coordinator, looking for some kind of fit. While working in marketing, I was asked to design some ads because nobody wanted to deal with our Apple computers and Adobe software, and that’s when everything began to make sense.

After five years of learning and practicing graphic design on the job (and making gig posters and promo materials for my music friends), I was finally able to move to Blinebury Design as a full-time designer, as well as keeper of the books and walker of the security force when Beth is deep into The Code Zone.”

*Things that make Andy tick:

  • I am a music dork. Like the High Fidelity kind. Check out my current record rotation (As I loaded up my favorite new releases, I realized that it’s all women who are killing it in 2016, apropos of Women’s History Month):
  • I have a dream to put together the greatest Funk & Soul Revue the world has ever seen. The plan is in the works. Stay tuned.
  • I have an eerie, imdb-like ability to spot actors on TV and film and list their previous projects. Even if they’re way in the background.
  • I have a deep love for horror films. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre may be my Citizen Kane. I was obsessing over a zombie apocalypse years before it was in vogue to do so.
  • I have an unhealthy obsession with Richard Nixon. I feel he is the modern era’s embodiment of the Shakespearian tragic figure. Despicably riveting.
